What We Believe

We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament were written by men divinely inspired and that they are the only infallible rule of Faith and Practice.

That there is only one true and living God revealed to us at the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, the same in essence and equal in every divine perfection.

That man was created holy, innocent, and happy, but by the disobedience of one man Sin entered into the world and death by Sin, so death passed upon all men for that all have sinned.

That the only way of salvation is by grace through faith in the atonement and righteousness of Jesus Christ.

That it is the duty of all men to repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

That nothing can separate true believers from the love of God, but that they will be kept by his power through faith unto salvation.

That Christian Baptism is administered only by the immersion of believers in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and that immersed believers only are entitled to partake of the Lord’s Supper.

That there will be a general resurrection of the dead, and a general judgment when all mankind will be judged according to their deeds, that the wicked shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into life eternal.

That the Christian ministry is a divinely appointed means for the spread of the Gospel throughout the world, and that it is the duty of all Christians according to ability to contribute to its support.

Church Covenant

Having been led, as we believe by the Spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior and, on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, we do now, in the presence of God, and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another as one body in Christ.

We pledge, by the aid of the Holy Spirit:

  • To walk together in Christian love
  • To strive for the advancement of this church, in knowledge, holiness, and comfort
  • To promote its prosperity and spirituality
  • To sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrines
  • To contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the gospel through all nations

We also pledge:

  • To maintain family and secret devotions
  • To religiously educate or children
  • To seek the salvation of our kindred and acquaintances
  • To walk circumspectly in the world
  • To be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements, and exemplary in our deportment
  • To be zealous in our efforts to advance the Kingdom of your Savior

We further pledge:

  • To watch over each other in brotherly love
  • To remember each other in prayer
  • To aid each other in sickness and distress
  • To cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech
  • To be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation and mindful of the rules of our Savior to secure it without delay
  • We moreover pledge that when we remove from this place we will, as soon as possible, unite with some other church where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word.

Church Ordinances

Church ordinances shall be administered by the Pastor, or by some other person designated by him or a person authorized by the Church, at such times as may be designated by the Pastor or the Church.

Church ordinances are:

  • Believer’s Baptism – is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in a newness of life in the Christ Jesus.
  • Communion (The Lords Supper) – is a symbolic act of obedience whereby members of Christ, through partaking of the bread and fruit of the vine memorialize the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming.
